Cookie and storage policy
Plansmith uses a small amount of browser storage to keep the site working. Optional analytics are collected only if you choose to enable them.

What do we mean by browser storage?
Websites can store small pieces of information in your browser. Cookies are one type. Local storage and session storage are similar technologies. This policy covers all of them.
What Plansmith uses
- Sign-in and security
- Our authentication provider keeps your session secure and lets you stay signed in. Temporary storage also completes password recovery and social sign-in safely.
- Duration: Until you sign out, the session expires, the browser session ends, or you clear browser data, depending on the item.
- Preferences
- Remembers user preferences, such as measurement units, and your analytics choice.
- Duration: Until you change the preference or clear browser data.
- Optional analytics
- After you accept, our analytics provider records anonymous page, device and product-usage information to help improve Plansmith.
- Duration: Our analytics provider does not set tracking cookies. No tracking cookie is stored in your browser.

Necessary storage
The sign-in, security and preference items above are needed to provide features you request or remember your direct choices. Plansmith can use these without turning on optional analytics.
If you block or clear necessary storage, you may be signed out and may need to choose your preferences again.
Optional analytics
Plansmith collects optional analytics only after you enable them. This may include pages visited, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, approximate country and product events.
Analytics are anonymous and not linked to your user account.
Change your choice
- Choose Necessary only when the analytics panel first appears.
- Use Analytics preferences in the footer to accept or reject analytics later.
- Use your browser settings to inspect or clear cookies and site data.
Rejecting analytics does not stop account, project or billing features from working.
What we do not use
Plansmith does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioural advertising, social-media tracking pixels, session replay, web beacons or email-open tracking.
